In a Simple Rhyme

"In a Simple Rhyme"

In the middle of the noise, the lights, and the incredible energy of a Van Halen performance, there were moments when everything seemed to slow down.

This is one of those moments.

Ed is caught in a quiet passage onstage, his head lowered as he plays, surrounded by deep blue light and the warm glow catching the edges of his hair and shoulders. His unmistakable red-and-white Kramer stands out against the darkness, almost becoming a second source of light within the photograph.

There’s no grand gesture here. No flying guitar or explosive pose. Just Ed, his instrument, and a simple moment of music.

Sometimes a simple photograph can say so much.

In a Simple Rhyme.
